Focus Your Time

Practicing self-care isn’t just exercising and eating right, it’s much more!

Sometimes we feel ill and take care of our physical pain, but what about feeling emotional pain such as guilt, loss or loneliness?

Watch the video below to get my #1 Self-Care Tip!

Self-Care is about taking care of our emotional, mental, physical, spiritual, and social health!
Common self-care techniques include meditation, yoga, and mindfulness, and there are many other ways to care for yourself.
We need to take care of our emotions and our minds with the same diligence we take care of our bodies, and that means practicing self-care!
While some may think self-care as selfish, it's far from that.
Practicing Self-care:
  • Encourages us to maintain healthy relationships with ourselves so we can transmit the good feelings to others.
  • Helps us stay strong and healthy, which allows us to be better caretakers, because we can't give to others what we don't possess.
  • Is an important part of managing worry, stress, and overwhelm and can help us stay happy and healthy.
Putting everyone else’s needs ahead of our own, creates mental and physical exhaustion!
We are the most affected by the decisions we make.
If we are sacrificing our own self-care by saying yes to things we do not want to do, it’s fine to say no
Saying “no” means we have boundaries and know our value and respect ourselves enough to stand up for our beliefs.
We're more resilient and better able to handle life's stresses when we're feeling our best both physically and emotionally.
