Daily habits and routines keep your home, life, and mental space in order and functioning smoothly.
“People are creatures of habit, and routines offer a way to promote health and wellness through structure and organization. Having a routine can greatly improve your health” according to Northwestern Medicine.
Many who don’t have any type of routine can suffer from stress, poor eating, and lack of sleep.
Working small habits into daily life can keep you organized, healthy, relieve stress and can free up a lot of mental space.
The book “Get It Done!: 51 Habits, Routines, Tips, and Tools to Organize Your Life” is loaded with tips to help you be more healthy, productive, and organized, while creating more time for things that matter.
Besides shower and brushing our teeth, here are 10 other helpful habits and routines:
- Make the Bed
- Exercise
- Eat Meals on a Schedule / Protocol
- Take Healthy Supplements
- Drink Water
- Open the Mail and Trash It, Shred It or File it
- Create a To-Do List
- Do a Thought Download
- Keep a Gratitude Journal
- Complete an Accomplishment Log
Doing each of these habits at the same time daily will condition you to keep doing it, and it’s a great way to practice self-care!
“Depending on what they are, our habits will either make us or break us. We become what we repeatedly do.”
-Sean Covey
