Stop Giving Your Power Away!

How much of your day revolves around thinking about and reliving what others did to you in the past?
We suffer longer than we need to because replaying the past and blaming others makes it so difficult to move forward.
When we hold onto blame, our minds and bodies relive the hurt in the present moment.
Continuously sitting in resentment or anger forces us to give our power away.
When we hold onto past hurts, we carry that person with us in our heads wherever we go, making genuine connections harder, and enjoying new experiences more difficult.
Giving our power to people from our past, robs us of joy and the ability to fully experience the present.
So how do we break the rumination cycle?
To Heal, Turn Inward!
When we use all of our energy to stay stuck in the past, controlling or blaming others, we have nothing left for ourselves.
If the mind won’t turn off, and stress and chaos are ruling our lives, it’s crucial to stop letting these stories take up real estate in our heads.
We know this, yet we avoid being uncomfortably alone with our thoughts, by juggling distractions, creating drama, or scheduling endless tasks which leaves us feeling exhausted.
To break free from this cycle and reclaim our energy, we must turn inward instead of looking outside of ourselves for peace, validation, or answers.
We need to decide on purpose, what’s important in life.
True healing starts when we have clarity about our priorities and gives us the focus to turn inward and start making meaningful changes.
Here are some helpful tools you might want to try:
🧘🏻♀️ Meditate for at least 10 minutes a day to sit quietly and focus on your breath, body, or emotions.
🧘♀️ Write your thoughts and feelings in a journal to gain clarity.
🧘🏻♀️ Pay attention to the present moment without judgment.
🧘♀️ Notice tension or sensations in your body and breathe into them.
🧘🏻♀️ Visualize the future you’d like to have.
🧘♀️ Move mindfully by walking or stretching to connect the mind and body.
🧘🏻♀️ Use deep breathing, humming, or gentle shaking to let go of stress to create an emotional release.

Invest in Yourself!
Healing takes time and there’s no quick reward, but there’s something better…lasting change.
When we start to change on the inside, the real work is applying it to daily life, especially when the same people or triggers are still around.
We have to be intentional and practice who we’re becoming.
When we stop letting negative emotions run the show and choose gratitude or joy, we can actually rewire our brains.
Triggers may still appear, but we’re no longer powerless and can interrupt the loop and tell ourselves that we are not a victim of our circumstances.
Choose what you want your life to look like and become the creator of your life.
Focus on your own path and what actually matters to you.
It all starts by going within.
“When you empower yourself with the tools to be the creator of your life, and when you invest in yourself, you invest in your future.” — Dr. Joe Dispenza
