Why is healthy living so important?
Although the medicine keeps advancing, we are not getting healthier, we are just taking longer to die.
We rely on medication to relax us, to make us sleep, to motivate us, to take away our allergies, to control the pain, to numb our emotions and to make us feel up an alert again.
Fortunately, it doesn’t have to be this way.
Sometimes even small changes to your lifestyle can yield the most spectacular results – reduced allergies, weight loss, lower blood pressure, lower cholesterol, clear skin, better sleep, mental alertness, ability to focus, improved fertility, less back pain and feeling more positive about life in general.
What Is Healthy Living?
Most people think that healthy living just involves eating less “junk” and doing some physical exercise, but this is just the “tip of the iceberg”.
Healthy living requires changing your eating habits and doing exercise, but it also involves:
- hydrating your body
- reducing your mental and physical clutter
- taking the right supplements
- allergy proofing your home
- planning doctor visits before you are sick
- reducing stress
- managing pain using alternate methods instead of resorting to unnecessary drugs, injections or surgery
- having useful hobbies
- keeping your brain active
It is about taking care of you and putting yourself first.
It’s about choosing wisely and making small lifestyle changes, a little at a time.
