Practice Self-Care By Writing in a Journal!
❓ Do you write in a journal?
There’s a lot of stress and worry in the world these days, and many of us forget the little things that create joy.
📔 One self-care habit you may find helpful is to write your thoughts in a journal.
“Not only does regular writing make you feel good, it helps you re-live the events you experienced in a safe environment where you can process them without fear or stress” according to Life Hack!
There are beautiful journals online, and so many to select from!
💖 Maybe you like pink or hearts or fluffy animals.
Choose One to Suit Your Personality!
If you’d like to forgo the paper version of a journal, there are password protected journal apps online that work well.
🎤 The microphone feature is a lifesaver because you can speak thoughts and certain apps will transpose your words into writing.
Most importantly, putting thoughts into writing has advantages over just thinking, because it creates awareness, which deepens the emotional impact.
🤔 If you’re having trouble coming up with ideas, try writing questions, concerns, solutions, memories, or even lessons learned.
If all else fails, write what you’re grateful for.
Writing about gratitude helps us develop appreciation for even the smallest things, which helps us enjoy life more.
❓ Would you rather write in a journal or have a digital version? Please leave a comment!
