7 Ways to Improve Friendships!

Do you have quality friends whom you stay in touch or not so much?
Maybe you have very few friends due to a long distance move, or possibly you have nothing in common, or perhaps you never had many friends to begin with.
“Studies have even found that older adults with a rich social life are likely to live longer than their peers with fewer connections“, according to the Mayo Clinic.
In addition to health reasons, good friends make us laugh and are also there to support us when we are sad, and vice versa.

Just remember that everyone in this world has a different story, background and personality!
Choose Better Thoughts!
It’s tough to put ourselves out there.
We choose thoughts that nobody will like us, we are too old to make friends, why would anyone want to be my friend, and so on.
Choose better thoughts and be willing to try new things, even if you’re shy!
Take some classes or join Facebook or Zoom meetups and get to know other people.
Start a social group, join a book club, or volunteer.
There are many ways to make friends!

If you truly want to create friendships, you must be willing to put yourself out there.
It takes time and effort, but you may find a new best friend.
Remember, it’s never too late to reconnect with old friends or build new friendships!
You could even create a new friendship habit of connecting with at least one friend per week!
